A Welcome from the Principal
Thank you for taking a moment to learn more about Duncan Christian School.
After growing up in Abbotsford, BC, I attended university in the midwest of the United States. My wife and I then spent 4 years teaching there after graduating and were blessed by the very welcoming people of Iowa.
God eventually led us to teach overseas where we served at Kyiv International School in Ukraine for several years. This valuable experience shaped us in many ways, our faith was strengthened, and our family grew!
In 2008, we moved to the Cowichan Valley and I began in my role as an administrator at DCS. My family loves Vancouver Island. We love to camp, hike and explore the incredible landscapes of “The Island”. I also enjoy reading, particularly while my kids try and fish for trout in one of the local lakes.
It is our founding belief as a Christian school that Christ is Lord over every aspect of life and creation.
Whether students hope to attend university after graduation, enter the workforce, or serve the community in some other way, our goal is to provide a loving and supportive school environment where children and young people are valued, respected and supported as staff work and learn alongside them. We desire that through this process students will experience the love of Jesus and grow in their relationship with Him.
Please contact us if you have questions or would like a tour of the school. We are thankful for the opportunity to serve the youth and families of the Cowichan Valley.
