The Ministry of Education updated their Health and Safety documents and has asked schools to update their Health and Safety plans to reflect the changes. The updates are highlighted in yellow from the February adjustments.

The Ministry of Education and Provincial Health Office updated the provincial COVID-19 requirements for schools. As a result, DCS has updated our COVID-19 Plan. The updates are highlighted in yellow from our original September Restart Plan.
The announcement specifically addressed new masking regulations for staff and middle and high school students. We have done our best to rearrange classrooms and furniture to limit students’ time in masks.
Thank you for your understanding as we seek to follow the guidelines set out by our government.

A new provincial order was announced yesterday, November 19, 2020, that requires the province to limit social activities. As a school, it is our responsibility to make sure that we are doing our part to continue to hold student, parent, and community health and safety as our top priority.
In her announcement, Dr. Henry specifically addressed before and after-school mingling at schools. In following this direction, our after-school pickup protocol has changed.
Starting today, indefinitely, when picking up children at the end of the day, parents are asked to remain in their vehicles until after the bell. At that time, ONE masked parent or guardian only is permitted to collect their child(ren). Parents are asked to take their children directly from school. As directed, socializing and playing on the grounds is not permitted during after school hours.
